Cory Silken is a yachting and luxury lifestyle photographer based in Newport and Boston. Silken regularly travels to the Caribbean and throughout the world for commercial and fine art projects. His dynamic and creative imagery appears in most of the major yachting magazines around the globe, and is published in numerous books. His clients range from local organizations to some of the top shipyards in the world, and he also photographs regattas for title sponsors such as Panerai and Bacardi.
Beyond still photography, Silken also collaborates with top industry filmmakers, working efficiently in tandem to provide combined motion and still media solutions. Silken is a pleasure to work with on location, and has a great team to complete you project on time and within budget. In addition, Silken is comfortable and experienced at working directly with superyacht owners and their staff, providing exceptional custom service. Whether setting the mood for a brochure, capturing the action at a regatta, or making stunning images for a new book, Silken has a classy and refined creative palette to make photographs that are truly memorable.
Silken has regular exhibition of his award-winning fine art work, and in 2012 he opened the Cory Silken Photography Gallery on Thames Street in Newport. His poster editions are also distributed world-wide, through large retailers such as Ikea and Art.com, and have appeared as set dressings for television series, such as Courtney Cox's Cougar Town and Kelsey Grammar's Boss, and films, such as Keanu Reeves' To The Bone.
An avid outdoor explorer, he has crewed aboard the classic former America's Cup 12 Metre Class fleet in Newport, Rhode Island and currently enjoys racing Firefly, a wooden Herreshoff S Class boat, in Narragansett Bay.
